The Tivoli Venue have been chosen to stage the opening night of The Quireboys’ 2016 UK & Ireland Tour!

The Tivoli Venue in Flintshire are very proud to have been chosen to stage the opening night of The Quireboys’ 2016 UK & Ireland Tour!

The Quireboys will hit the stage at Tivoli Venue Friday 4th March 2016

Hard gigging, hard living, hard rocking: homegrown heroes The Quireboys have reinforced their reputation as kings of the road after announcing a slew of new dates for 2016.

Currently tearing across the country in support of their latest acoustic run, the band will spring back into action next March for 15 full electric shows across the UK and Ireland.

Digging deep to unearth some rarely heard gems – and mining jewels from the critically acclaimed St Cecilia And The Gypsy Soul – The Quireboys have promised a setlist rooted in brazenly honest rock and roll.

And they’ll be bringing a whole bunch of brilliant bands along for the ride for what promises to be one of the must-see tours of 2016.

Eight of the shows see The Quireboys headline the brand new HRH AOR On The Road Tour – with main support from 80s hair metal heroes Faster Pussycat and super Swedes Bonafide.

“It will be more than 18 months since we played so many full electrics shows across the UK and it’s time we treated the fans to a big old party,” said singer Spike.

“We’ll be rolling out an all-new set featuring our favourite songs from the last four records, all the classics and some tunes that have never been played live. Let’s see how that works out!”

2016 has been the band’s most successful year to date with a main stage slot at Sweden Rock, sold-out dates in the USA and scores of UK and European headline shows complementing superb new album St Cecilia And The Gypsy Soul.

Special guests The Texas Flood support.

So when I was contacted by Richard Lavender who told me he had recently opened a coffee lounge in Queensferry. I was keen to check the place out. When I told Radio Deeside's main man Barry Dale about the visit he quickly pulled rank expressing how he had to come along and also check out the cake selection!! On arriving at Urban Coffee Lounge I quickly noticed how spotlessly clean the place was, everything neatly in its place. The smell of coffee hit me just as I reached the counter, I opted for the cappuccino, Barry, on the other hand, decided on a nice mug of tea with one eye closely on the cakes!!! There is a choice of seating area's within the coffee lounge as well as a seated area outside, The traditional table and chairs also lounge style chairs with coffee table or there is a bar style seated area with h...

For the first time, every in Tivoli history a bra was hurled onto the stage!! Jizzy had the crowd in stitches as he joked about his busty gift!! He went on to say how he loved North Wales. Performing tracks such as Blackout In The Red Room & Evil Twin, Jizzy made a quick reference to his notorious  crucifixion on the Hollywood sign!! There was a meet and great that followed the gig, And Jizzy was in no rush, Taking his time to get around to speaking to all his fan's, signing autographs and posing for f...
