The infectious new track combines a singalong disco chorus with pulsating electro beats and socially conscious lyrics. Since forming two years ago, Park Fires have been busy perfecting their hybrid of pure pop melodies, acerbic Northern lyrics and electro soundscapes. Adopting a punk-esque DIY work ethic and ethos to their fiery brand of mainstream pop has quickly led to BBC Introducing airplay and live sessions, festival appearances and glowing online coverage from the UK, USA and Europe. Influenced by synth pop pioneers The Human League and sharing DNA with electro contemporaries Chvrches and Years & Years, the girls have played a string of sell out shows in Leeds and featured regularly on local and online radio. MATTO RULES UNVEIL ANTHEMIC NEW SINGLE 'TONIGHT'

After winning over festival crowds in their native Switzerland & picking up national radio and TV attention there, sleek electro-rockers Matto Rules are turning their attentions to the rest of the world. Tonight is a pulsating introduction to a band that has built a loyal European fanbase with their slick mix of pop melodies, electronica soundscapes, and indie rock guitars. With the name of the band inspired by Matto, the ghost of insanity in Friedrich Glauser’s pulp novel In Matto’s Realm, the band’s music mixes euphoric pop choruses with a restless rock escapism & electro tension. After being invited to work with acclaimed LA producer Michael Patterson (Beck, BRMC, Duran Duran) their early singles led to sold out tour dates and radio playlists in Europe. To give Tonight and their debut album What Comes Around (out now) the right balance of studio polish and raw emotion, the band enlisted Chicago producer Ben Treimer (MuteMath, Emmylou Harris). Released earlier this...

Electropop duo Park Fires will release their infectious debut single ‘Home’ on 25th March

Electropop duo Park Fires will release their infectious debut single ‘Home’ on 25th March. Heavily influenced by both the synth-driven sound of 80s heavyweights The Human League and Depeche Mode and the fierce choruses of female-fronted 90s bands Garbage and Republica, the girls have a real knack for crafting pure pop melodies and pulsating electronica soundscapes. Keen to distance themselves from the typical girl-band pop stereotypes, the pair play and write all of their own music and have a strong DIY approach to their career. After receiving BBC radio airplay, touring the UK and playing festival stages as musicians & songwriters in various bands over the last three years, Rachel Lissenburg and Emma Duffy are now ready to make their mark as a new two-piece with a fresh set of songs and a gang mentality. This journey begins, suitably enough, with ‘Home’. A brooding tale of love gone sour with an explosive chorus, it’s a single that will establish them firmly as new pop ...
