BAD MANNERS play NEWPORT Neon on Thursday 15th December 2016!

Formed in 1976 while attending Woodberry Down comprehensive school, London, Bad Manners went on to become heavyweight Ska legends and a much loved 1980s pop band. Between 1980 - 1983, Bad Manners spent 111 weeks in the UK's pop charts and the band had 12 hit singles which included Lip Up Fatty, My Girl Lollipop and Special Brew. Although their line-up has fluctuated since their successful chart career, Buster Bloodvessel has always remained, continuing to play the classic anthems to audiences all over the world. Their numerous TV appearances included many performances on Top of The Pops along with slots on Tiswas, Cheggers Plays Pop, The Time of Your Life, Nevermind The Buzzcocks and The Time & The Place. Buster often dressed up for Top of The Pops, much to the bemusement of the show's producer, and who can forget him clowning around in a frilly dress and a pair of DM's for the Can Can, playing the part of Henry VIII while singing to a Blow-Up Doll during Lorra...

Bereaved Flintshire mum launches bus safety campaign after daughter Louise's tragic death

The mother of a girl killed under the wheels of a bus is campaigning for safer travel for school pupils. Lynne Chick has set up a social media campaign in the name of her daughter, Louise Gregson-Oldfield, to secure designated school buses with access to a seat and seat belt for every child rather than having to rely on overcrowded public transport. Lynne’s daughter Louise, 11, died after ending up under the wheels of a public bus she had traveled home from school on on March 19, 2001 at the junction of Mold Road and Howard Street in Connah’s Quay, near her family home. Miss Chick, of Hawarden, explained why she was establishing the campaign. She said: In the months after Louise died it emerged the bus she had travelled home on had been over crowded, with adults standing talking to the driver and there was also a mention her bag had got caught in the door or wheel causing her to be dragged under the bus she had just alighted from, There still remains a big question mark ove...

NEW MODEL ARMY with special guests Mad Dog Mcrea play MANCHESTER

New Model Army are a legendary global underground cult band. Formed by Justin Sullivan in Bradford in 1980, their beginnings were inspired by Northern Soul, Punk Rock and the incendiary atmosphere of the times. Since then, they have had a long, creative and eventful journey. They have been massively influential in ‘post-punk’, ‘folk-rock’, ‘politico-rock’, ‘goth’, ‘metal’ and all kinds of musical sub-cultures but they have steadfastly refused to belong to any genre. Without a ‘genre’ audience, and never having had a Top 20 hit single in any country, New Model Army still have album sales in the millions, have attracted some of the biggest producers on the planet (Glyn Johns, Tom Dowd, Andy Wallace, Bob Clearmountain) and have built up an almost religious devotion amongst fans. This is a remarkable band - as hungry and focused as ever, with a continually regenerating audience and insatiable creative ambition. Now into their 37th year, New Model Army show no signs of slowing...
