Maven Fiction announce the release of new single - Can I Keep You - On 19th February!!!

Genre-mashing indie pop duo Maven Fiction will release their new single Can I Keep You on 19thFebruary. The new material marks a fresh start for the band after a period spent revitalising their sound with Ivor Novello winning writer/producer Steve Robson (whose writing/production credits include Ed Sheeran, James Bay, One Direction, Paloma Faith & Take That

After forming in late 2011, Aaron Ward (Vocals/Guitar) & Joe Mitchell (Piano/Synths) quickly gained media attention after their early single ‘This Is My England’ was included in coverage of the 2012 Olympics. The success of this anthemic slice of patriotic electro-pop led to thousands of streams and downloads, radio airplay, UK tours, support shows with Everything Everything and The Futureheads, festival performancesand live shows in the USA. However, soon after this initial breakthrough the band lost momentum and decided to re-work their materialand hone their songwriting craftin the studiobefore releasing any new music.

Now confident that they have found their true sound and armed with a brand new set ofpop-infused, synth-driven & radio friendly anthems, the boys are finally ready to make their mark on 2016. The self-produced Can I Keep You is a great re-introduction to their melodic charms and memorable lyrics, and is set to establish them once again as one of the best emerging bands in the UK.

Catch Maven Fiction's new single entitled 'Can I Keep You' on my Breakfast Show Saturday 30th January 8am - 10am and repeated Sunday 31st January at the same time on Radio Deeside

So when I was contacted by Richard Lavender who told me he had recently opened a coffee lounge in Queensferry. I was keen to check the place out. When I told Radio Deeside's main man Barry Dale about the visit he quickly pulled rank expressing how he had to come along and also check out the cake selection!! On arriving at Urban Coffee Lounge I quickly noticed how spotlessly clean the place was, everything neatly in its place. The smell of coffee hit me just as I reached the counter, I opted for the cappuccino, Barry, on the other hand, decided on a nice mug of tea with one eye closely on the cakes!!! There is a choice of seating area's within the coffee lounge as well as a seated area outside, The traditional table and chairs also lounge style chairs with coffee table or there is a bar style seated area with h...
